- Small differences depending on the country may occur in relation to the sweetener usage and the water that is used and its quality. The distributed Coke formula remains always the same. The taste differantiations are due to the local variances in taste. As an example Americans like sweeter things. While the US uses corn syrup, Mexico uses cane sugar.

- A mission statement tells the companys purpose in society, where the company is going and it also provides focus and boundaries.

- A strategy is an action plan which aims to achieve a mission and it is for the internal use. Each functional area can have its own strategy. Having a strategy avoids weaknesses, neutralizes threats and it is valuable for managing opportunities and strengths.

- A mission is external for the public and the strategy on the other hand is internal within the organization.

- OM strategy changes depending on a products life span as the goals expand.
