Kinyobi is an archipelago island nation in the South Pacific by the equator. The island was originally formed by the eruption of Mt. Puka, a dormant volcano that sits presently as the highest point on the island. Over the years, lush vegetation grew on the island: tall coconut trees, banyan trees, sugar cane, and bountiful crops found only in the tropics.

The coral reef surrounds and nourishes the island. In the coral reef swam thousands of different species of fish and other creatures like crabs, jellyfish, starfish, squid, and clams. White and black tipped sharks swam through the reef as well. Dolphins and whales visited at times to play and relax by the white sandy beaches.

Limestone from the dead coral joined with the island to expand the archipelago. Birds enjoyed the tropical forest and shared the air with countless species of butterflies and other insects such as moths, mosquitos, and dragonflies. The climate is tropical with only two seasons: wet and dry.

The first people of Kinyobi came on a flying proa. The five initial families were the Chi’hui, the Hudzu, the Igua, the Briye, and the Tonomo. The people were a shamanistic people and believed in animism. The religion developed into a very spiritual one with three deities: the masculine, the feminine, and the third. There were also specially born people known as Surahunus that were medicinal healers, psychics, sorcerers, or all three.

Generations later, eastern and western culture influenced the island. Water sports and activities like surfing are big on the island. Mixed Martial Arts is the most popular sport to watch on Kinyobi. There is a part of Kido that serves as the old town in the island and is like a South Pacific Venice. City-towns and villages grow on the island. The spiritual world is still greatly feared by the people, but modern technology has definitely improved the lifestyle on the island.
