Blog 3

From the PowerPoint slides of topic 3, select ONE verse from the Quran and ONE hadith from Prophet Muhammad's sayings whose meanings appear to mutually support each other (i. e., the verse and the hadith appear to address the same topic or issue). First, provide the full quotes of the selected verse and the selected hadith and list their sources. Second, write a 100 to 150 word-essay in which you discuss how SIGNIFICANT and RELEVANT the selected verse and hadith to our time (the text of the verse and the hadith and their sources will not count towards the 100 to 150 words). To submit blogs in this course, you click on the link to the blog as it appears in one of the subheadings of Course Documents, create a blog entry, and post it. Do not submit blogs from course tools, as attachments, or as email messages because they will not be accepted. This is Blog 3 and it is worth 2 points (2 percent of your final grade). Blog 3 will be deployed between 9/25/14 at 10 pm and 10/2/14 at 10 pm

Homework 3

Based exclusively on the assigned readings, PowerPoint slides, and videos of Topic 3, selected ONE issue of significance and relevance to our time. Write a 200 to 300 word essay in which you explain your selection and discuss the issue. You must ground your explanation and discussion into the assigned materials and your own experience. Homework 3 is worth 5 points (5 percent of your final grade). Sources for homework assignments must be cited briefly and ONLY between parentheses in the text. Each homework assignment in this course must be formatted as a Microsoft Word file and uploaded through the TurnItIn link (View/Complete) by the deadline. No other submission will be accepted. Homework 3 will be deployed between 9/25/14 at 10 pm and 10/9/14 at 10 pm
