Introduction:
The advertisement, vintage, that has been chosen to be appropriate for a college-level audience is Campbell that is a vegetable soup. The advertisement has work of art that was produced in 1962 by Andy Warhol. It has thirty-two canvases and every canvas consisting of a painting of a Campbell's Soup can. The individual paintings are produced by a printmaking method that is semi-mechanized screen printing process and in using non-painterly style. Campbell's Soup Cans' uses themes from the popular culture that helped to usher in pop art as a major art movement in the advertisement.
Thesis: Campbell vegetable soup has attractive advertisement vintage. It has different colors and futures that makes the advert interesting to look, thus attract more consumers.
The visual description and context are as follows: The canvases that have been used in the advert are very similar with each being realistic depiction of the iconic. It is observed that red and white Campbell's Soup has silkscreened onto a white background. Also, the canvases have minor differences in the lettering of the variety names. Most of the letterings are painted in red letters.
Four varieties of black lettering have also been sued: Clam Chowder has parenthetical black lettering as seen below the variety name. The black lettering has been used to describe ‘looks good’, listens well and smells good’. This means that the soup is tomato and broth based but not of the cream based. At the same time, Beef has parenthetical black lettering that is below the variety name that says “With Vegetables and Barley”. There are two main varieties with red lettered parenthetical labels. These are Consommé (Beef) and Beef Broth (Bouillon). There are three people at the top part of the vintage. Two men and ladies; all of which have a smiling face. Bellow them is a pan with brown soup.
Emotion in the vintage is indicated by the woman’s body that is muscular and fit. Reasoning logos that have been used include the statement “TIS GOOD” This shows that the use of the product is recommended and it is further illustrated by another statement” And it is almost a meal in itself”. Generally, the cans containing the product are portrayed as if they are fresh produced cans without flaws.
In conclusion: The view of the advertisement is an ordinary culture with abstract expressionists attracting viewers. The Campbell's Soup Can is represented with series of futures that express positive view of modern culture in using the product.
