After reading the Henslin and reviewing the additional web article , consider what you know about "Looking Glass Self'. Charles Cooley proposed 3 components of the looking-glass self or stages in development of the self:

    The imagination of how we appear to others

    The imagination of their reactions to or judgment of that appearance.

    Development of impressions or self feelings based on these judgments.
