Drexel info on building and publishing a web page

8. Are there any sites I can use to learn more about how to create a webpage

1. A Beginners Guide to HTML - Introduction to HTML

9. Do NOT include your personal information in the webpage

Remember that the information you put on the web is available to everyone therefore you may wish not to put your full contact information.  We recommend that you do not include your address and phone number.  We also recommend that in your email address replace the @ sign with AT, like this:  address AT drexel.edu vs. [email protected].

This will help reduce the junk mail you may generate by putting your email address on the web.

Also, please note that your webpage will be recorded and indexed by major search engines such as Google shortly after it is uploaded to Drexel’s dunx server. If you do not want all/any of your web pages to be indexed, then do NOT place links pointing to them in the index.html file.
