1. Clear, assertive tri-part thesis with each of the 3 strategy claims addressing “how,” “what,” and “why”
2. Assertive topic sentences (first of each body paragraph) that echo thesis (“how,” “what,” and “why”)
3. Paragraphs focus on only topic sentence claim – NO TOPIC DRIFT.
4. Evidence strongly supports claims and is accurate and specific—Minimum 3 precise evidential examples per body paragraph
5. Argumentative evidence, not narrative. It does not simply repeat or agree with the report’s messages
6. Correct grammar and punctuation are used
7. Writing is clear. Minimal awkward sections
8. Writing is concise, and not wordy or descriptive
