Mistrust of the counselor due to the views of white males by those of other cultures, and there is also shame and stigma of seeking counseling as many feel that those of their own culture would not understand or feel that they were breaking cultural. So According to research these are several reasons why there is difficulty in serving multicultural populations. Counselors are faced with the challenge of adapting different styles of counseling and interviewing in order to serve multicultural clients.
