From still separate, still Unequal: America’s Educational Apartheid

From still separate, still Unequal: America’s Educational Apartheid is written by Jonathan Kozol who is an award winning writer and lecturer in the United States and focuses much on the social injustices. He is worried about the people in America who suffer from educational apartheid due to their immense poverty levels. The author is famous for his fight against social inequality, trying to bridge the gap between the able people and the unable in the state.

Most of the Americans living far away from the city are the most affected since their education is not perfect at all. From the reader’s response, it is clear that the schools that these children learn from provide low quality information since the infrastructure is not developed to support quality education in the place. However, it is through determination that the students from these schools learn with much stress and are able to succeed maximally. For example, the students are able to read extremely hard and move extra miles to ensure that they make it. For example, a reader may wonder why famous people like Bill gates and Martin Luther were able to succeed in life. However, it is through their determination in their schools, no matter the kind of poor education they received. They were able to work hard and succeed. It is also true that most public schools students pass through determination unlike the private school students who are followed up by their instructors, until they succeed. Most of the schools recently are also experiencing racial segregation, which is also very negative in the long run. All students should

ensure that they learn at a good environment. From a reader’s perspective, it is true to believe that all students are able to pass maximally if the students are provided for with a cool environment where they are able to learn peacefully. Through research, it is noted that students area also able to make maximum use o their time learning in order to succeed. Students who learn in segregated environments are also very bitter about the situation. Through research, most of them are always willing to confront the issues since it affects their educational system. Many yearn for equality of their rights since it is through this that they will be able to perform in their educational system.

In the readers perspective, it is always right to ensure that students learn fairly in their schools so that they are able to succeed maximally.

However, after she was provided with this kind of doll, she painted it completely black since she loved her culture greatly. From a reader’s perspective, it is true to say that, the author loves her culture greatly. Her act of cutting the dolls hair and dressing it in full culture was a positive way to explain all these.

The author is very cautious on cultural activities saying that she embraced her culture while she was still very young. This led to her talking more o her multicultural background in her books. In the reader’s perspective, it is very true to say that most of the people are obsessed with her knowledge since they have copied her greatly in the dolls market and in the cultural market. The blacks are always proud o her due to the work she did. The Barbie is still one of the biggest homes to dolls in the region as it was motivated to grow to bigger heights. It is a home to over 16,000 dolls, all colored Frankie’s commercially to the cultures of those times.

It is worth to note that, he explores rhetorical strategy as a device to make readers accept his arguments.

To begin with, Schlosser’s “Kid Kustomers” outlines his facts in a systematic logical approach. He explores this through explanation through use of transitional statements to take readers to thje next point throughout the essay. The essay begins by elaborating why advertisers target children. The visible transitional statement makes it clear that the motives of the advertisers are straightforward from the excerpt he says, “Get kids to nag their parents and nag them well” (223). The author goes ahead to explain how the advertisers uses different ways to know children likes (224). Eric systematically elaborates how the advertisers succeed in their motives through use of Internet. He finalizes by transitioning through making claims of the enomous increasing importance of the social media mainly television and Internet as crucial approaches in advertising (225).

Eric uses rhetorical approach in the kid customers through his survey findings from the journal of the American Medical Association, through his findings he brings up James U. McNeal, that
