EAGLE XG® Slim Glass Substrates:

Now a days the demand is increasing for thinner and lighter display panels as mobile applications are increasing. Corning’s EAGLE XG® Slim glass is meeting this demand in a very cost effective and environmentally conscious way. It is available in 0.3 mm to 1500mm by 1800mm thickness. It is also reducing the cost for LCD panel manufacturers. EAGLE XG Slim glass is used in the following:

The 0.3mm thickness is an ideal solution for emerging mobile applications like Ultrabook™.

Corning® Willow® Glass

Corning Willow Glass is helping enabling thin, light and cost-efficient applications. It is also being used in today’s displays and smart surfaces for future. It has different qualities like thinness, strength and flexibility. Due to these qualities, “wrapped” displays can be made. Corning Willow Glass has a high melting point, which is essential for today’s high end displays. Corning Willow Glass will enable the industry to pursue high-temperature, continuous processes, that have been impossible till now.

Corning Willow Glass will help to develop conformable (curved) displays, which could be mount on non-flat surfaces and could be used for immerse viewing. Corning Lotus™ Glass

It is a high performance display glass that is developed to provide a stable and reliable platform from start to finish for OLED displays and LCD displays. It is specially designed to work in low temperature poly-silicon (LPTS) and TFT manufacturing environments. It’s tough enough to withstand in demanding manufacturing processes and allows vibrant colors and clarity to OLED and LCD transmissions.

It retains its shape and quality due to intrinsic thermal consistency during high-temperature processing. Stress and distortion to the substrate is further reduced during crystallization and activation and decreased compaction.
