Professional conduct covers a variety of topics related to maintaining a professional environment in the workplace. Regulations regarding professional conduct cover everything from harassment in the workplace, to dress codes, to policies about fraternization between employees.

This article brings to light an issue that many may not talk about in an adult work environment. A bill was purposed in July to send employees found guilty of bullying in the work place to court. The article gives details on the judgments that can be filed against the accused along of what would be considered bullying. Although this article pertains to employees and employers located in the Virgin Islands. I do believe that it should be brought to the U.S. attention. There are a lot of situations that don’t get as much media attention as others. But they are just as important so this would be a good addition to my essay paper.

This article also brings to light a topic not touched on in the media a lot. The author covers a story on a man in New York that filed a sexual harassment claim against his female boss. The article provides a brief history on how they met and what led to the harassment. It also provides court details when he was awarded funds in his case. Not enough information is listed here in the article, but it made public news so I am sure I can find some more. Because the accuser is a female I believe that it would make a good article to use. The percentage of female doing the harassing has gone up over the years, many people are unaware of that.

This article gives an insight into a case against an employer who filed a harassment claim after working there for two months. The article provides minimal details on the case, but I think it’s a good example like the author says. It is good because even though the employee worked there for two months, it goes to show you that anything can happen in a short period of time. So it stresses indirectly the importance of employers training their employees to act at all times in the most ethical manner. This article would be excellent to use because it brings to light questions that should be asked in the workplace. This should be used in training so that different scenarios are brought up and employees understand what acceptable and unacceptable.

This article sexual harassment in the workplace, but it focuses on the ever changing society. So much has changed over the years and not every job is a desk job now even people who have careers sometimes are doing things that you wouldn’t dream of. So it is important to take it into account and examine and study it. This article does that data is used from a study of service workers and professional employees. The data gathered is used to see if individuals are really understanding issues of sexual harassment in the workplace. I believe this would make a good addition to my paper. The study that was done is good to give us numbers and statistics.

This article focuses on inappropriate relationships. The question is asked if affairs are something that employers should be concerned about. I am in the Navy so because of what’s been instilled in me as for as my morals I am suppose to say yes. If the individuals are married or even in this case where it resulted in the person that was concerned being punished. Then yes I do feel like employers should be concerned because that is bad business practice. This article would make a good addition because of the scenario being one where the results involved a 3rd party that was just concerned for the workplace.
