Again, welcome to Week 6. You will note this week your final assignment is due. You are to answer the question, “What is the "current macroeconomic situation" in the U.S. (e.g. is the U.S. economy currently concerned about unemployment, inflation, recession, etc.)? What fiscal policies and monetary policies would be appropriate at this time?” In looking at the previous assignment, I would like to offer the following pointers as you prepare for this assignment. Also, many of you did not follow/review the requirements for your assignment which must include the following: incorporation of key economic terms, references, one article and at least 300 words. For those of you who did not abide by those guidelines, I would urge you to do so. While not mandatory, I also encourage you to use APA format. It helps you tailor and structure your response. It is not mandatory, but again helps to structure your paper. Also, be sure to explicitly answer the question. Do not make any assumptions. You should explicitly answer 2 questions with this assignment: 1. What is the "current macroeconomic situation" in the U.S. (e.g. is the U.S. economy currently concerned about unemployment, inflation, recession, etc.)? 2. What fiscal policies and monetary policies would be appropriate at this time?” Key concepts to include in your paper--data trends on unemployment, inflation, GDP growth, expansionary fiscal policy tools, FOMC, easy money policy tools and other terms from this class. You must use at least one article. Note: The textbook is not an article and cannot be the only source for the assignments. Use the DeVry Library as a resource for finding your references. Last but not least, please ensure your assignment is turned in ON TIME!!!!! Your last assignment is due this Sunday, August, 17, at 11:59 pm Eastern time. I hope this helps. And please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are having issues with your assignment. If you are unsure about your assignment and want me to take a look at it to ensure you are on the right track, I can do that as well, as long as you get it to me by Friday. I can offer feedback no later than Saturday and get it back to you for revisions, etc. Just don’t wait until the last minute (like the day the assignment is due) to ask questions or me to review. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have questions or concerns. |
