Project Description: You are hired as a marketing manager for a small airline service. Your first big assignment is to develop a marketing flyer. To complete the assignment, you will change the margins, create a masthead, create columns and format text, and add graphics for visual effects.

Instructions: For the purpose of grading the project you are required to perform the following tasks: Step Instructions Points Possible 1 Start Word. Download and open the Word file named w05_Grader_h1_Airline.docx. Save the document as w05_Grader_h1_Airline_LastFirst. 0 2 Change all of the margins of the document to 0.7". Insert a Continuous Section Break in the beginning of the paragraph that begins Welcome Aboard!, and format Section 1 as a single-column. 8 3 Create a masthead by typing the main heading as SUNSET AIRLINES in the first blank paragraph. Apply the Text Effect Fill – Red, Accent 2, Outline - Accent 2 to SUNSET AIRLINES. Increase the font size to 36 pt. Use a Reverse on the heading by changing the shading style to Black, Text 1. 10 4 Create a second line of the masthead, type the subheading As Enjoyable as Watching a Sunset. Change the font size to 13 pt, and then apply Italics. Change the color of the subheading to Orange, Accent 6, Lighter 40%. Right align the subheading. 5 5 Format all of the paragraphs below the section break as two-column, with a line between the columns and equal column widths. 5 6 Insert another continuous section break at the end of the document. Format the empty paragraph after the continuous section break to display in one column. 5 7 In the paragraph that begins Welcome Aboard!, format the W in Welcome as a Drop Cap, using the default Dropped option. 5 8 Select and cut the paragraph that begins Because we want to be the airline (Excluding Paramark). Insert a text box in the same location using the Motion Quote style, and paste the cut paragraph in the text box. Resize the width of the text box to 3.2” and the height to 2”. Increase the font size to 14. Center the text in the box. Set the Absolute position in the Horizontal section to 0” to the right of Margin. Set the Absolute position in the Vertical section to 3” below Margin. 10 9 Insert a column break before the We are always adding paragraph. Set the page border color to Orange, Accent 6 and the border width to 3 pt. 5 11 Use a bulleted list to organize the regulations listed after the paragraph that begins For a more enjoyable flight. Display the text pane, and then type Denver on the first line to represent the circle in the middle. For the next 6 bullets, type Las Vegas, Orlando, New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Salt Lake City. 5 13 Change the color scheme of the SmartArt to Colorful - Accent Colors. Format the wrapping style of the SmartArt to Square. Change the height of the SmartArt graphic to 2.5" and the width to 3.5". Use a Lock Anchor setting so that the SmartArt graphic will remain in position. 5 14 Position the insertion point at the end of the document. Start Microsoft Excel 2013. Open the downloaded w05_Grader_h1_Flights.xlsx file. Copy the chart from the workbook and link it into the Word document as Microsoft Excel Chart Object. 5 15 Change the absolute height of the chart to 2.5”. Format the wrapping style of the chart to Square. Set the horizontal alignment to center. 5 16 In the Excel worksheet, change the Los Angeles on-time percentage in cell D5 to 93, and then update the chart in the flyer to reflect this change. Save the workbook and exit Excel. 4 17 At the bottom of the first column immediately below the Motion Quote, insert a Curved Down Ribbon shape (under Stars and Banners). Change the shape style to Light 1 Outline, Colored Fill - Orange, Accent 6. Change the height to 1.5” and the width to 3.25”. Type the text Ranked #1 in Customer Satisfaction on the ribbon. Bold, italicize, and increase the size of the text to 16 pt. Set the Absolute position in the Horizontal section to 0” to the right of Column. Set the Absolute position in the Vertical section to 5.25” below Margin. 10 18 Save and close all files. Exit Word.
