The United States has 11 millions unauthorized immigrant right now. Many of them are operating below their potential, trying to keep a low profile, living in a fog of uncertainty. They have to face many difficulties in their lives with their non-legal status and extremely hard to obtain for legalized status. Nancy Hernandez stood in front of the U.S. Capitol holding a sign that says, "Immediately carry out the immigration reform!" Hernandez, now 22 years old, she came here from a small town in Michigan, joined the ranks of thousands of people, urging reform the U.S. immigration system. Hernandez said, "We need a way to get citizenship." She was a "dreamer", the term used to describe the young people are illegally brought to the United States but do not know any other home, and want to be American citizens. In her nine years old, with her parents and two younger children to the United States, in order to having a better life. After graduating from high school, Hernandez can not work, can not get a driver's license, and even can not have library card, because she dose not have legal identification, so she can only do odd jobs and swing at the edge of despair. However, in 2011, President Barack Obama granted these "dreamer" two-year work permits and the suspension of deportation, so she was able to enter community college to learn and think about her own future. Now, she hopes to comprehensive immigration reform and this temporary measure can become permanent. She said: "I want to become a social worker. I want to contribute to my community."
