Basically you needed to explain how the individual determined their skill gaps and how they worked on the skill gaps to make themselves more marketable both inside and outside of the organization. In addition, the career counselor can effectively help the individual employee mitigate skill gaps through the development of individual development plans. While the employee is working on career development they are becoming more agile and adaptable and the organization can use them in many different situations and empower the employee as they gain new skills. If the organization does not empower and enrich the employee or if the employee finds a better opportunity because of their new skills they will leave the organization. You stated in your paper that it will be necessary for employees to gain new skills and find new organizations but you did not elaborate on it.
