CCNA 2 Lab Assignment in Packet Tracer
A multinational company having a HQ at Barcelona and 2 foreign offices, one in London and another in Berlin. This company requires building a network topology and IP routing with security mechanisms that allow the following:
1. The 3 offices must be interconnected through WAN using a Frame Relay, a HDLC and a PPP-CHAP. These 3 WAN systems required to be configured with the highest security configurations possible.
2. Barcelona’s office will use an IP routing 10.34.0.0/16; London’s office will use an IP routing 10.44.0.0/16 and Berlin’s office will use an IP routing 10.49.0.0/16. P2P connections between the offices will use and IP routing 192.168.100.0/24 divided in /30 blocks per office.
3. Every office has VLANs configured to route traffic depending on the users connected. All commuters need to have uplink and downlink in “trunk” mode.
4. Barcelona’s HQ will use a multilayer switch CORE_A instead of the router R1 to do the routing between different VLANs. The other offices will use R2 and R3.
5. CORE_A, Switch4 and Switch3 will have a dedicated level-2 link for its MGMT and IT_STAFF VLAN. None of these VLANs will be public on dynamic routing protocols, as these VLANs are operated through multiple offices it will require a 172.16.100.0/24 routing. Use the first /25 for MGMT VLAN and the next /25 for IT_STAFF VLAN.
6. TFTP Server and WebServer are not directly accessible, it will require a Static NAT to hide their real IP addresses. LocalFileServer doesn’t require a NAT and can be publicly accessed.
7. TFTP Server will only be able to be accessed through MGMT and IT_STAFF VLANs. LocalFileServer can be accessed from any address. The rest of traffic between servers will be denied.
8. Use OSPF with security enabled to exchange routes between offices. Beware that MGMT and IT_STAFF must not participate in any routing exchange process. By default, Barcelona office will publish the route.
9. Use the connectivity WIC modules you think is required
* we forgot to put a Cloud-PT between Barcelona and London office in order to use the Frame Relay
