Additionally, Elizabeth Dickinson’s argument is analytical and logical. Elizabeth’s point of view is the issue of the future of the global food system. Moreover, she approaches those issues primarily through an economic and political perspective. Begin with an example that shows her economic perspective through statistical information and questionnaire surveys. She states asking a political question, “On a scale of 1 to 10, how big an impact will rising food prices have on global political instability?” (“The Future of Food”). Elizabeth engages her readers through a creative question. The graph question describes the future food crisis to political perspective. In conclusion, I think that preventing shortage of food is very serious an issue that overcome hunger in the world. Almost 35 years ago, south Korea also suffered from hunger. However, south Korea definitely recognized hunger problems and looked for solution to overcome hunger. As a result, I am very familiar to recognize this issue because in south Korea’s history book, there is a part of modern and contemporary history, so I learned about this issue. However, I do not expect that we will encounter food crisis at 2050. Therefore, we must devise various solutions for preventing shortage of food.
