Given the discussion in Januszewski & Molenda, Ch. 6 about management, how does your school, college or district manage technology? Does your school district provide a Strategic Plan for Technology? What does it include? Does it take a total cost of ownership approach? What does total cost of ownership mean? Are you part of the decision making process? What data does your district use to guide their decisions? What other examples did you find within your district and state of systemic approaches and responses to issues such as the digital divide, equity of resources, and child safety?

I tough in a rural school in the first year of my teaching. The school had not technology, so I talk to my principle that the school should have technology lab to integrate technology in our teaching to enhance the quality of teaching and inputs, and the result will be quality of outcomes. Since, I got permission, I established technology lab in the school. I made schedule to all teachers at least twice a week they use the technology lab. I encourage the teachers to use the lab and I succeed. I explained to them how they could use these technologies in their classes. Since, they started use the T-lab, no one missed his time in using the T-lab. I got positive feedback from all the teachers by the end of the first month. Using technology changed many things such as class time management, lesson plan organization and the result was high quality of input and outcomes.

There was a department in the local education office that it responsible about the total cost of everything the school need.

I was in rural area and the digital divide clearly existed. Students were not familiar with using technology for many reasons the biggest one was because they did not have access to Internet.

At the beginning of each chapters (1-3) of the text, ISTE standards are listed pertinent to that chapter. Select one of the standards and post an example of how you've observed educators within your own setting apply the standard to their own work.

Apply technology increase productivity. I observed how the changed of productivity in the school which I was in, after teachers started integrate technology in their lessons. One of the teachers told me that using technology helped him to save class time and the result more productive. Other teacher told me it became easier to explain the lessons by shown example in picture and video. All these show how technology increases productivity for either teachers or students.

The third week was excited. We learn a lot and review the midterm. The first class each student present presentation about the famous inventor in technology world such as Stive Jobs, Ted Turner, Prierr. I learned a lot of their stories. Their story shows how they came up with the ideal ideas and believed by their ideas. I think they succeed because they believe on their ideas. In addition, their stories show how technology could change our life. second class, we reviewed the midterm and discussed systematic approach. Dr. Plowman wrote to point of systematic approach and divide the class to tow groups. The first group, he gave them Plan for Student Improvement and the second group gave them Strategies Plan for Technology. I was in the first group, we came up with a lot of point such as conducted survey, assessment, and set objective. The second group almost was similar idea. Dr. Plowman came over the all point which we provided and explain them.
