1. There are a myriad of different and unique products from around the world that may be of interest to Canadians.
2. Assume that you have $10,000 to invest in a small start-up company that will import a product into Canada.
4. In your one note notebook:
a. Record the URI where the product manufacturer information is located.
b. If possible, include a picture of the product and brief description of the product itself.
c. In a paragraph entitled “Rationale for Import”, describe why you think the product would be wanted or needed by Canadians.
d. The product that you want to import has to be something that you are able to import. For example:
i. If you want to open up a White Castle restaurant in Canada you can’t because White Castle is a privately held organization that does not franchise locations; besides it would be more than the $10,000 limit for the new startup.
ii. You can’t import something that is illegal.
5. Be prepared to share your product idea with the rest of the class.
