Due to daily increases customer of the Bank of The West agree the mobile application is the current need and successful approach for the long-term growth and to support to the internal and external functionality of the system of the Business for the more flexible and convenient ways. Currently Bank of The West request to developed the mobile application; the requested apps will have similar functionality with advance features as per bank of the west provide. The newly developed mobile application directly communicates with bank of the west front end and backend system at the same time; Additionally, the application will add two extra module which allow customer to pay their bill and locate the bank. The new enhancement of the application will not harm any internal server of the business. |

Bank of the West is a one of the top 10 fast growing business in America. The fast growing business, competitive market, advance technology, rapidly increases customers and the massive users load inside the bank of West internal system and frequent web portal crash are the major factor that bank of the West find developing a new mobile application. The newly implemented application will provide fast accurate and convenient services, which allow customer to select multiple service modules at same time and reduce the rate of customer traffic by 50%. |

1. The account owner must have downloaded BOTW App icon unto the shell of their Smartphone. 2. The account owner must tap the BOTW App icon for it to open the home page. 3. The account owner must have an active account with Bank of the West. 4. The Account owner must have registered an online username and online user password. 5. The online username and online password must be active and valid. 6. The account owner must have access to the Bank of the West App through a smart phone. 7. The smart phone must belong to the account owner for security reasons. 8. The server must be running in real-time 9. The Bank of the West App must be active and up to date in version for effective communication with the server. 10. The Bank server must recognize the communication (traffic) from the App. |
Based upon the teams’ assessment of this project, it has been classified as a medium risk project. The major risk identified in mobile applications is vulnerability to security breaches. Therefore, high level of data protection and enterprise security to be achieved and maintained for account holders (users). Mobile application design, development and implementation on two devices (IPhone and Android) is expected to be financially extensive. Availability of sufficient budget is critical for the timely completion of the project. User-friendly mobile application development is highly subject to technical resources with prior expertise in coding and testing for particularly mobile applications. It is the first launch of mobile application by BOTW, therefore, with no previous documentation on mobile app, this innovation will be highly time dependent |

1. Project Preliminary Scope
1.1 Objectives:
The sustainability analysis conducted for the project has indicated that mobile application strongly depends upon appropriate revenue sub models. The application will be provided free download, therefore, it will generate revenues from fees from use of app to pay bills or credit cards. The projected number of downloads and payments that will be done via the application make it a sustainable proposal. Further, regular updates will maintain the longevity of the application use. Billing, on Behalf of which, allows the operator to bill the consumer on your behalf. The user opens their web browser and enters www.bankofthewest.com on the url section. The browser opens Bank of the West web portal. On the web portal, the user enters their username and password to sign in to their online account. The system authenticates the login information. If the login information is valid, the system takes the user to their online account page. The user can request for any service offered by the bank on their website. The user request is processed through the web server (BOTW server) by accessing the bank databases:

· Additionally, the type of customer mobile banking attracts as a “very valuable customer segment.” These customers as more deeply engaged and typically using more products than average. Customer research has indicated customers appreciated mobile banking, which creates stronger loyalty and engagement with the bank.
· Banks can find significant savings by serving customers in the mobile channel rather than through the contact center, ATM or even online banking. Mobile banking customers have also moved over $9.5 Billion since 2007, presumably reducing bank and consumer costs to move money.
