Class Expectations Self-Assessment

The following are quotes from the class policies for HEA240:

“I expect you to approach this class in an adult, professional manner. Please arrive on time for each class session, having read the required material and prepared to apply/discuss it. Sleeping, talking, doing leisure activities or studying for other classes in my class is immature, disruptive, and disrespectful. These activities will be penalized via Class Expectation Points.

Cell phone use in class is strictly prohibited without prior permission of the instructor. …Cell phone or use of tablets or laptops in class for non-academic purposes will result in maximum loss of Classroom Expectations Points.”

The following is a quote from the syllabus:

“Students are expected to attend class regularly, participate respectfully and thoughtfully, and act like mature individuals who are pursuing professional education. Students who exemplify these expectations (full attendance, outstanding participation, insightful comments) will earn extra credit points. Students who skip class regularly; sleep, text, talk, study for other classes, etc. in this class; or otherwise show disrespect for the professor, their peers and/or those who are paying for their education may lose up to four points (a drop of a partial letter grade.)

Use this drop box to upload your one-paragraph to one-page (maximum) document discussing how many points you should gain or lose from your final grade. Please justify your request with specific instances of behavior:
