A critical converstion of 'A Fault in Our Stars' how the construction of adolescents in the novel correlates with the adolescents of today. Must formulate an original position and thesis.

The assignment is to develop a critical conversation of the novel A Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I have to develop a thesis and formulate a position around the thesis as it relates to the construction of the adolescence.

The paper must be 2000 words, times new roman, double spaced, MLA format

Your second paper will be longer than your first and involves library research. Select any text or texts we are reading except for the text you wrote about in your first paper, go to the library virtually and materially, and find all the criticism you possibly can about it. There are several ways for you to gather sources and citations. Two online databases are important: the MLA bibliography and EBSCO's Academic Search Complete. Unfortunately, we no longer get LION. There are links to the major journals that discuss children's and YA literature on Folio the Project Muse journals are particularly useful.

It is very important for you to immerse yourself in the critical conversation surrounding your primary text(s). You should formulate an original position and a thesis in order to write a paper, in which you will refer to secondary sources sparingly, but when necessary. The object is for you to write an informed critical analysis from your own angle. Papers that are a compendium of received ideas will not be rewarded, but papers that are original critical essays informed by previous criticism will be richly rewarded. Furthermore, secondary material that might not be directly about your text but that offers theoretical insights into the construction of adolescence is likely to prove useful, and will be essential for graduate students. It is useful to begin with a central critical question that engages you, explore the critical conversation, and refine that critical question

.

BE SURE THAT YOUR PAPER HAS AN ORIGINAL THESIS! By no means is this paper to be a mere review of research. It is to be an original critical analysis informed by secondary criticism.

Undergraduates will write a paper of at least 2000 words (exclusive of Notes and Works Cited), properly documented in the MLA style.

Finally, try to have fun with this paper; the process ought to be fascinating and rewarding-

I need a clearly defined thesis that is original, concise, and relatable. I have to prepare an Annotated Bibliography for the 10 sources as well
