The First Look

What was your initial impression of the site? Did you feel bored, overwhelmed, or confused?

I felt a bit confused on the first look. The font seemed to be too small and even though there is enough information on the website the site the page has a lot of blank spaces.

This website looked very professional. The information is nicely and well organized. The top tabs give brief information of the website and all the multimedia is very relevant.

How much time did it take to realize the purpose of the site?

It took me a while as there was a lot of information on the site.

What is the target audience for the site?

The target audience is the home owners of different subdivisions handled by the association.

Was there contact information immediately available?

Yes but only phone number

No indications that the site could be trusted were easy to find

The site had legal and privacy policies listed on the homepage and also had all their affiliations on a main tab.

Was the text easy to read and easily scanned so that you did not have to read every word?

Very small and not easy to read

What are your thoughts about the layout and colors of the site? What impression do they give?

Very blank White color, no special color scheme used.

Finding Your Way Around

How was the navigation organized?

Navigation was linked between pages, no drop down menus.

This webpage had drop down menus with Hyperlinks between pages and images linked to useful links. Navigation was super easy.

When using the navigation, was it intuitive or did you need to use some trial-and-error to figure out what was behind each link?

Few errors, lot of Trial and error. Most links have more links to them and does not make much sense.

Website is well organized and kept up to date. All links were relevant and useful. No trial and error needed.

Was there a clear way back to the home page from every page of the site?

Yes, there was a Home link on every page.

How easy was it to find the important information? Was it prominently displayed or buried in detailed paragraphs?

There were links to all links, so it was pretty tough to find what I need. Pretty much took me to a third party side.

On pages with lots of content, were there features to help you find what you were looking for, such as links across the top of the page that took you to other parts of the page?

Pages with a lot of content did not always have the applicable links, No go to the top of the page links.

Information was well distributed so the webpages were not cluttered and did not necessarily need the top or bottom links.

If there were articles on the site, could you tell when they were written?

I could not tell when any information was written

Articles on this site had date information embedded with their titles. Any information taken from elsewhere had proper citation with author information.

Did images on the pages contribute to the user experience?

Single image on the page with not a lot of purpose.

Yes. Images on the page were related to the information provided and had hyperlinks to them.

Was the text well written and free of mistakes? Did you find any spelling errors? Were there broken links?

Text was poorly written, did not notice any mistakes but would suggest changing the font and font size,

Your Thoughts

What impressed you the most about this site?

The site was very flat. Lot of blank spaces and felt like it was not completed.

Site was well organized; I liked the colors and the flow of the website.

What features on this site would you want to make sure to incorporate into your own site?

Nothing I want to take away from this.

I would like to take the drop down menus and put that on my website.

What would you change if you were the owner of the site?

I would add more color, change the font size. Edit a lot of text from the links. I am also not fond of the menus on the side. I would change that put that on the top.

I would change nothing. Keep it the way it is.

What features on this site would you make sure to avoid when creating your own site?

Blank spaces, small text, and Useless links.

I want my website to look like this website. So I would probably not avoid anything.
