Apple, for years, has prided itself on the quality of the customer experience. The company built the iPad Air on the notion that it is defined by the methods in which people utilize the device (Apple Inc., 2014). With this idea in mind, they needed to create the product in a way that would be useful and convenient to all.
This device features a thin and sleek design, measuring only 7.5 millimeters and weighing only one pound, resulting in a 24 percent overall reduction in volume since the previous generation of iPads (Apple Inc., 2014). Despite its compact nature the iPad Air is still highly durable (Apple Inc., 2014). This device features thinner bezels (border) than previous generations as well. This provides a 9.7 inch screen which is larger than that of other iPads and tablets (Apple Inc., 2014).
Retina Display is the most advanced tablet display technology. It boasts a stunning 3.1 million pixels and a 2048 x 1536 resolution (Apple Inc., 2014). This allows for a crisper picture. The clarity of the picture helps to prevent stress on the users eyes (Apple Inc., 2014).
The device comes complete with Apple’s most advanced processor chip, called the A7 (Apple Inc., 2014). This chip allows most of the same capabilities one would find using a 64-bit desktop computer, is 2 times as fast as other tablet devices, and has 10+ hours of battery life (Apple Inc., 2014). It also features the M7 motion compressor which helps to adjust quicker when flipped or turned (Apple Inc., 2014). This iOS 7 operating system provides a control center with more advanced multi-tasking capabilities (Apple Inc., 2014). It uses a touch-rejection algorithm, allowing the device to determine the difference between you simply resting your finger on the screen while holding it or scrolling through and changing screens (Apple Inc., 2014). It contains 2 antennas for more reliable connection and faster Wi-Fi speed, up to 300 Mbps (megabytes per second) (Apple Inc., 2014). It contains a dual microphone that helps to reduce background noise and improve voice clarity when in use (Apple Inc., 2014).
Apple provides great protection for this product. It comes with 1 year of hardware protection and 90 days of complimentary support under the limited warrantee (Apple Inc., 2014). However, one can opt to get AppleCare+ which offers two additional years of coverage in addition to coverage for up to two accidental incidences (Apple Inc., 2014).

Sales and Marketing Objectives
S.M.A.R.T Marketing Objectives
Improved Sales/Revenues
Heightened Market Share
Improved Customer Experiences
Sales and Marketing teams are responsible for the sale and marketing of new products. This means then this team must develop S.M.A.R.T. goals in order to properly meet them. This makes the process more complicated than traditional goal setting (NSW Government, n.d.).
It is one thing to say they want to increase revenues. It is quite another to set a S.M.A.R.T goal. For instance, a S.M.A.R.T goal for increasing revenues would be to increase revenues by 15 percent by the second quarter of 2015.
A typical objective to increase market share would be setting a target. Such a target could be reaching 30 percent market share by August of 2015 (NSW Government, n.d.).
An objective to improve the quality of the customer experience would be setting a goal to achieve 98 percent customer satisfaction within one year.
