Project Management Methodology

Project management methodologies are a series of different processes designed to assist project managers and those overseeing or involved with projects (University of Western Sydney 2013). The project of team FAMMZ has attributes that will attribute to a successful project such as unique processers drawn by an experienced Project Manager with assistance from subordinates. The specified result that this project aims to achieve by coordinating a variety of specialists and employees and a rigorous time frame around task completion are both achievable and challenging (University of Western Sydney 2013).

The nature of the project demands very specific knowledge and a set of skills from every team member thus it is essential that every team member is qualified and has experience in the delegated field. All tasks and guidelines will be set by the project manager, then the duties will be segregated between project members and responsibilities will be delegated accordingly (The Frame Group Pty Ltd 2010).

The lack of competence in executive managers is noted by companies and academia alike (Andrews 2010), thus team FAMMZ had to emphasise leadership and execution skills when deciding onthe criteria for employees to be hired.

One of the competitive advantages team FAMMZ has is that the project manager is broadly experienced in matters of project realisation, leading and directing efforts of others. The presence of such a rational leader that has all the required skills and qualifications ensures the team follows an empirical approach (Tenmozhi 2012) which emphasises passing experience from practitioner to disciples while working on common projects.

This does not imply that the rest of the team is incompetent or unprofessional. Other project team members possess appropriate qualifications and an intermediate level expertise however lack experience in real business projects. This indicates that experience is an essential requirement in project management skills.

Approaching various elements of the project, collecting data andmaking projections are methods called scientific management which was an essential tool used in the creation of Macro Benefits (Cherns 1976). The nature of a scientific approach is to emphasise knowledge without embracing stereotypes and clichés, to achieve cooperation within a group while avoiding competition and strife, to work for maximum output rather than restricted output and to use all the potential of workers.

Team FAMMZ achieved high standards by assigning members work they were capable of achieving and enjoyed performing. When this project is carried out successfully it will dramatically improve and enhance the position of team FAMMZ in the workforce, giving a great intangible, yet effective stimulus and confidence boost for everyone participating in the project.

In conclusion it can be noted that project management science has gone far from its beginning in 1950 (Haughey 2010), and all accumulated knowledge, methods and tools are the tremendous asset for any existing or potential project manager. The theory when strongly linked to practice can provide stability and help avoid mistakes that were pointed out by scientists or practicing project managers.
