Independent Project 3-4 The sales representatives at Wilson Home Entertainment Systems review acceptable viewing distances when talking with clients who are in the early stages of planning a home theater or media room. They discuss options for televisions or projection systems for the spaces being planned. For this project, you complete a presentation to prepare clients for an in-home consultation.

When you are finished with this project, your presentation should contain 8 slides. If it does not, your project
will not grade properly and you may lose a significant number of points.
1. Open the presentation ScreenSizes-03.
NOTE: If the document opens in Protected View, click
the Enable Editing button in the Message
Bar at the top of the document so you can modify it.
2. The file will be renamed automatically to include your
name. Change the project file name if directed to do
so by your instructor, and save it.
3. Using the Format Background pane, change the
background fill on three slides to a picture fill.
NOTE: Download the resource file(s) needed for
this project from the Resources link. Make sure to
extract the file(s) after downloading the
resources zipped folder.
a. Slide 5: Insert TVCabinet-03 downloaded from the
resources link.
b. Slide 6: Search Online using the Insert Pictures dialog box and
the search word television. Locate a picture of a wall-mounted
flat screen television (Figure 3-87).
c. Slide 7: Insert Projector-03 downloaded from the resources link.
d. Close the Format Background pane.
4. Apply the Vortex transition with the From Bottom effect option.
Change the Duration to 3.00. Apply these settings to all slides
(Figure 3-88).

5. Apply animation on four slides and change effect options as shown in the following table:

8. Rehearse the presentation and save timings.
9. Modify the timings to advance each slide after 5 seconds.
10. Hide slide 4.
11. In Slide Show view, practice the following slide show
features:
a. Use the navigation area buttons.
b. Right-click and use the shortcut menu.
c. Use keyboard shortcuts.
d. Blank slides.
e. Go to the hidden slide 4.
f. Point to slide objects with the laser pointer.
12. Use the Set Up Show dialog box to change Advance
Slides to Manually. Click OK.
Note: Be sure to complete step 12. If you miss this step,
you will not be able to complete step 14 as written.

13. Add annotations on slides 3 and 4 using the Pen with Red ink and keep annotations. Use Presenter View
and practice making annotations on the presenter slide. a. Slide 3: Circle the “55-60” and “100” screen sizes.
b. Slide 4: Go to this hidden slide and circle the following phrases in the bulleted items: “level with
the middle,” “reduce color clarity,” and “visibility at all seats.”
c. Keep ink annotations.
14. Use the Set Up Show dialog box to prepare a kiosk presentation with looping.
a. For Advance Slides, select Use timings, if present.
b. Select Browsed at a kiosk (full screen) and show All slides.
c. Select the appropriate monitor.
d. Click OK.
15. Save and close the presentation (Figure 3-90).
16. Upload and save your project file.
17. Submit project for grading.
