Students must pick one of the following three choices listed below and complete the assignment.
Presentations will be given to your small group in an informal manner. You DO NOT need to create a power point to support your presentation. You should have a one page, point form handout for your group and instructor as well as some type of activity (e.g., prepared questions, quiz, bingo, etc,.) to engage your audience in your discussion. Presentations should be about 5 - 7 minutes.
Choice A

Cut out or print the pictures to make a mural of the pictures you selected.
Reflect on the images that you selected to answer the following questions.
1. What do you consider beautiful?
2. How do your opinions fit into class readings?
3. Do you feel beauty is influenced by culture?
4. Bring your pictures and reflection to share in class

Discuss the role that these stories played in the transmission of culture for the storyteller. Include how the story reflects (or does not reflect) norms, values, and folkways.
Explain, whether or not you agree with the significance of storytelling in the transmission of culture.
