Impacts of Population growth on environmental health

Write a 2-3 page paper in which you describe a strategy that may be used to control the negative impacts of population growth on the environmental health issue of Air Quality.  These controls can range from public health strategies and interventions at international, national and local levels, to strategies at the individual level – including personal health behavior modification, and health promotion.   Illustrate with, at least, one example at the local, state, national or international level.

Please justify your opinion with evidence from the literature.

The “critical thinking” rubric linked at the bottom of this page will be used to assess the quality of your paper and assign a grade for this assignment. Please review it carefully before you begin the assignment. Your paper will be graded on the following attributes: organization, contextual awareness, knowledge of conventions, and appropriate use of sources and evidence. The point value for each attribute and what you'll need to do in order to earn the maximum possible points on this assignment can be found in the rubric.

The purpose of using this rubric is to assist you in strengthening your critical thinking skills. As you know, this is a skill set that's essential for establishing a successful career. LENGTH: 2-3 pages typed and double-spaced, in addition to a cover page and references.  

The following items will be assessed in particular:

Critical thinking: This Critical Thinking Rubric will be used to assess the quality of your paper and assign a grade for this assignment. Refer to it before, during, and after writing your paper and strive to meet the criteria in the "Strong" column.

Precision: The questions of the assignment are specifically addressed in the paper. 

Clarity: The paper reads clearly and it is well structured.

Breadth: The paper presents appropriate breadth covering the questions of the assignment.

Depth: The paper describes well the concepts presented and the concepts are well supported by findings or examples from the literature. 

Application: The paper shows your ability to apply your knowledge of population growth trends to environmental health issues that may be affected by population growth. 

References:  References must be properly cited within the text of the essay, as well as being listed at the end of the paper.
