Executive summary

Mobile marketing website

Mobilemarketingwebsite.com also known as MMW is a weekly membership site which is dedicated to train and educate existing and new, medium-sized to small businesses. The website educates these businesses on how to market their products in today’s world. This website was designed by John Ramsey in 2012, and has been operating in very well. The site contains a lot of detailed learning materials containing all aspects relating to mobile marketing. Despite the website still being in its early stages, it has attracted a lot of online marketers, who have ended reaching out to many clients. This website plans intends to have a huge impact on marketing, as it plans to enable firms to reach out to over 5 billion mobile phones users. It also aims creating channels which will link-up many firms using internet marketing to advertise their products (Pasqua& Elkin,2013). Below is the report concerning this marketing strategy which organizations should use in order to overcome the current competition.

Introduction

Today’s businesses are facing stiff competition from both their competitors and substitute goods. This has in turn led to the looking for ways of curbing the stiff competition. Some of them have resulted to production differentiation and market segmentation, but they have not been successful. This is based on the fact that they are usually unable to reach to the appropriate clients.

Problem statement

Organizations in today’s business arena are struggling to reach out to the ideal customers for their products and services. The use of ancient strategies has not been fruitful, as the technological developments have proved to be too smart for these strategies. Besides this, the constant changing consumer demands have also made it extremely difficult for these strategies to offer any help. This has in turn led to organizations using technology to market their products, for example mobile marketing.

This report is intended for the organizations marketing teams, which finds it difficult to get clients for the organizations’ products or services. This website plans to teach marketing teams on various strategies of getting customers. For instance, it will be targeting independent marketers who intend to use mobile marketing to track down customers for their products. The website will contain various sections such as strategies of researching potential markets for instance through texting,mobile blogging or social media. With this knowledge, the marketing teams will be in position to find a lot of clients for their services and products.

Purpose of the report

This report aims at assisting business organizations to look for customers for their goods and services. Globalization has brought about stiff competition, as it has made the world look like a village. This is because can easily be manufactured in one region and then sold to another within a very short period. As a result of this, firms are now competing on global scale, compared to their previous competitions which were either national or regional. This in turn has made it very difficult for some firms to find markets for their products, as the markets are filled with goods from all parts of the world. In order to curb the stiff completion, firms have decided to come up with new strategies. However, they have to ensure that the strategies they come up with are cheap, and will not increase their operating cost, as they might affect their profits in the end. One way of curbing the stiff competition has been through effective and efficient marketing methods (Richardson, 2010). This marketing website will be very ideal for these firms, as it will enable them to reach out to many clients within a short period and at a relatively cheap rate. For instance, the website will teach them on how to access clients from all walks of life. For example, it will teach them how to approach different people such as the young, old, rich or poor. This stems from the fact that these firms need all these people for their survival in the current competitive markets.

Resources that will be needed for support

To in order ensure that the marketing teams benefit a lot from the use of this website, some resources will have to be used. For instance, the organizations will need to pay a monthly subscription of $1000 per person. This implies that the subscription fees that firms will be paying will depend on the number of their marketing personnel. These people will also have to have email addresses. The website will be informing them of any new marketing strategy once it is out. This means that organizations will have to ensure that they have access to the internet network all the time, as the website will be alerting any time of the day. The marketing personnel will also have to give out some of their working time for training purposes. This implies that during training sessions some of their duties will not be attended to, or they might as well be distributed to other members of the organization during the training sessions (Richardson, 2010). This implies that some departments will have to take up more responsibilities during these sessions. Besides these, organizations will also have to ensure that the computers in the marketing departments are in goods conditions so as the training sessions will be conducted online. It will also have to buy smartphones for people working in the market team so that they can access the website while not on duty, for instance during weekends.

Methods to be used to gather information

Both primary and secondary methods will be used to gather information before making recommendations. Analysis will conducted on journals and articles regarding the competition in current markets in order to ascertain the various ways of curbing it. The information gained from these articles will be used to formulate the recommendations. Besides these articles, interviews will also have to be conducted on various social website regarding the effectiveness of using mobile marketing (Pawar, 2004). For efficiency purposes, the interviews will be conducted online, whereby people will be requested to give their views on how to use mobile marketing in order to curb the stiff competition. These views will then be analyzed in order to come up with the most appropriate recommendations.

Criteria to be used to evaluate the collected information

In order to evaluate the information collected, various aspects will have to be considered. For instance, the relevance of the information will have to be considered. The methods given to solve the current competition will have to be analyzed in order to check if they conform to the modern world. The information will also have to be checked if it us reliable and hence being in a position to be trusted. To check the reliability of this information, various marketing personnel will be asked to give their views on the information. Based on their experience, they will be in a position to assess it thus ascertaining its credibility.

Findings

Article analyses reveal that many organizations are changing their marketing strategies. They are incorporating technology into their marketing plans, for instance use of social media. 80% of the articles analyzed advocate for technological use in marketing. Besides this, 75% of the respondents interviewed suggested the use of mobile phones in marketing. For instance, most of them said that it was a reliable means of marketing, as firms would be contacting clients personally. Research also established that it was easy to access the young generation using technology than the old generation. For example, among the people who we interviewed online, 65% were aged below 30.

Analysis

Based on these findings, today’s consumers want to use technology in every activity they undertake. This implies that reaching them through technological means would be very ideal. For instance, many people own mobile phones which imply that mobile marketing will enable firms to reach out to many people as it is approximated that over 5 billion people own mobile phones.

Conclusion

Despite this website being in its blue print stage, it is attracting many people, who are looking for ways of increasing their sales. Therefore, organizations should subscribe to this website in order to learn various strategies used in mobile marketing. This will be of great help to them, as today’s success depends on the tactics put forward to achieve it.
