1) For the cost of laptops, with each price only being listed once the measures will be mean and median.  With the cost of the candy bars being all at 50 cents, except for one at 60 cents, the measures will be median and mode. 2) I critiqued graphs from www.mathgoodies.com  The first graph I looked at asked numerous school age children what their favorite after school activity was.  It was self explained, and provided the appropriate information needed to understand what they were trying to prove with the graph.  It would of been more helpful to know the exact number of studies that were surveyed for this graph.  I would have no questions about this graph. The second graph contained information about the amount of sugar in certain foods.  The graph also explained itself, however I would like to know how they chose the foods that they used for this graph, as they used a wide variety of foods.

A.     If I was in the market for a new lap top I would choose to use the method of finding the mean.  By using the mean I would be able to see on average how much money that I needed how much money I needed for a lap top.  This will also help me to determine and narrow down the features that I am looking for in a lap top compared to the price that I am able to spend.

B.    For the price of candy bars I would most likely use the mode to help narrow down my choices.  I love chocolate but I am cheap, so I would find my choices of candy bars by not only which ones are cheaper but the choices that happen most frequently.

2.

When I am trying to find how something works or profits that have been made over a period of time I would choose to use a bar graph.  I think that using a bar graph it is easy to read and to follow.  A bar graph is very informative and quick to reference.  I also like pie charts because they can be colorful and different to look at.  Depending on the information they can informative.  Pie charts are not my favorite to use because I find that they are harder to be precise.
