England to Scotland

I had a great summer. It has not been a wonderful time but I did a lot of tourism, I ate well , I walked , I rested . I went to England for a few days to visit the Lake District. This is a very touristy area ; Each year , there are eight million tourists ! It was very nice . I went to Ambleside. This is a very small town, a town with a lot of Bed and Breakfast and sports shops that sell hiking boots. Yes, the lakes region is known for its hiking and beautiful scenery .I did not hiking , but I made a one-hour walk around a lake . It was wonderful .

 

After the lakes region , I went to Scotland. I know Scotland ; my cousin lives there for a long time . She studied in Scotland at St. Andrews. Now she is married and lives in a small white house in front of the sea. We went to the Island of Arran . It was beautiful . We did a lot of walks. To my cousin , they were walking, but for me they were hiking ! The landscapes of the Island of Arran are very different and represents a mini- Scotland. We visited the gardens, we ate in front of the sea and we danced Scottish dances ; it is very sporty and lively !

After Arran, we went to Edinburgh. I personally do not like Edinburgh. There is a part of the " Royal mile " which is very touristy with shops selling stupid and expensive souvenirs. But in this street, there are also many interesting museums. In Edinburgh , I went to the jazz festival. I liked .

 

Lastly After England and Scotland, I went to Turkey with my girlfriend. It was very different ; 40 degrees! Ah, the sun, the beach , Turkish restaurants! It was wonderful . We went to the beach every day and we rested. We also did a lot of tourism like the Bodrum Sea Museum and many other's like the region of Efes who was a old port during the Greek time.

 And this weekend, I will be in Boston for a wedding.
