DUE: Assignments are due according to the schedule by 11:59 pm. This is to be submitted on D2L under dropbox tab. Late assignments will not be accepted.

Assignment: You are to read and summarize Popular Psych myths from the text. You can only choose one myth per chapter. For example in Chapter 1 Brain Power, you may only use one of the myths, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. You cannot use 1 and 2 or any other number combination from chapter 1. This rule applies to all of the chapters. The summary should include the following;

What the myth is, including a brief summary of the basic assumptions of this myth? Why the myth is popular? What evidence has been found that disproves the myth? What were the results that helped disprove the myth? How has this myth been spread to the general population and/or through generations? Lastly, please include a brief reaction to the myth and its disproval. This should be no more than 3-5 sentences at the end of the summary.

Guidelines:

In the heading, you only need your name and the myth being submitted. Myths for one due date should be submitted in one document and each myth should be labeled.

Needs to be submitted using word document or PDF. Other document types will not be accepted and result in points reductions.

Each summary should be one page long, typed, double-spaced in Times New Roman, 12 font, with 1 inch margins. Each summary needs to have the number and the title of the myth that is being disproven at the beginning of each summary in the heading.

Summaries should include the information asked for above, as best as possible. For Example, if the book does not talk about how the myth has been spread throughout generations, you should concentrate and elaborate on the other points.
