Diet or Surgery: The Justified Weight Lose Program
I. Introduction
A. Obesity is one of the growing health care concerns in the world today.
B. Obesity leads to various diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
C. Losing weight is necessary in order to fight obesity and lead a healthier life.
D. Many lost weight programs tend to provide immediate but not long term results.
E. Diet is the best weight lost solution because it is safe and provide long term results.

This program will require as substantial amount of individual time and self-discipline.
III. Surgery
a) How surgery is used to lose weight
Surgery for weight loss uses plastic surgery technologies. Surgery is being used as lose weight program for various reasons including those who feel the natural way of losing weight is taking too long (Wing and Phelan, 2005).
b) Advantages
Surgery is quick and the results are instant.
c) Down side
It is important to note that, surgery for losing weight is available to a few populations who have money. In addition the long-term effects are phenomena those who have done it do not want to read about.
IV. Recommendation
It is important for everyone to analyze the importance of the weight loss programs before choosing one. I recommend the diet because of my personal experience. I have used it before and it seems the healthiest for everybody. Diet will be preferred over surgery because of the accrued long term benefits.
V. Conclusion
Most weight loss programs recommend diet as the best technique over surgery because of the natural approach. On the other hand, weight loss through surgery does not guarantee permanent impact as compared to using diet.
