Questionaire TASK 2
Assessment Instructions
Using your selected option you are required to develop a questionnaire to obtain both qualitative and quantitative data. The response format should include (10 questions minimum):
6 quantitative questions that must allow you to measure central tendencies of responses specifically 2 each of mean, median and mode, 2 Dichotomous questions.
2 qualitative questions
These questions will need to be designed using appropriate scale measures such as interval and ordinal scales to measure the responses.
Note: You need to look at Assessment task 3 before designing this questionnaire, to find out HOW the results of collating the data are to be displayed.

Option One: Individual Preference Using your workplace, sport, hobby or interest as a starting point, considering the topics or issues you wish to address, develop a questionnaire to gather data about the topics or issues of most concern and about WHAT improvements respondents think should be made. This questionnaire is to be used to gather data from at least five different people.
Option Two: Sungrabber Case Study Following on from your Journal of Readings research into renewable energy sources, develop a questionnaire you would use to gather data from Sungrabber’s production staff about what resources they would like to see in a technical library. The questions in the questionnaire should survey people from each of the four production teams as well as the Research and Development Department. Information is to be gathered from each of these five areas.
Option Three: Assignment Evidence Using a questionnaire you have designed and developed in an assignment for another module this semester (approved by your teacher) as a starting point, modify this questionnaire further to include both qualitative and quantitative data as well as use measurement and scaling techniques to measure the different types of central tendencies such as mean, median and mode. This questionnaire should be capable of gathering data from at least ten people. Ensure that the questionnaire has been designed to focus on the relevant and applicable topics and issues you have identified earlier.

Assessment 3 (DON’T DO JUST LOOK)
Assessment Instructions
DO NOT START this assessment until you receive a “S” for Assessment task 2
Using the questionnaire from Task 2, gather data from at least 10 different people who are familiar with the topics/ issues you are researching.
Collate the gathered data and display the results using a variety of graphs to graphically represent the data you gathered including at least two of each of the following:
· Bar graph (shows relationships between groups)
· Pie chart (shows individual parts of a total)
· Line graph (shows comparisons and relationship affects).
Explain how you have used the different graphs to represent both qualitative and quantitative data.
Note: In Assessment task 4, you will compare your questionnaire results (primary information) with your referenced secondary information sources (obtained from Assignment 1).
