Dear Professor Levy:

The term project you assigned to our Spreadsheet and Database Applications class at the beginning of April has now been completed. Or: I am pleased to attach the term project you assigned to our Spreadsheet and Database Applications class last month.

The second paragraph discusses the nature of the project and also expresses thanks to anyone who helped you prepare the project. For example: This project contains an analysis of two articles related to how Access can help to develop a more profitable business. I created my own business called ? and then created applications for it in Access and Excel. This project took me approximately eight hours to complete, including reading background material and creating the Access database and Excel spreadsheets and charts. (You can also thank anyone who helped you during the process of preparing the paper, such as a classmate, professor, of librarian). For example, I would like to thank my classmate, Anita Wells, for giving me some ideas about my charts and Professor Una Shih for showing me how to use library references properly).

The last paragraph expresses a positive statement about the project. For example: I hope that this project meets the course requirements. Or: I found this project to be worthwhile because I learned many new aspects of preparing a primary research paper. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Respectfully yours,
