1) The organization’s position:
First of all, in order for any organization to be a successful in its industry, it needs to have a product or services deliver in unique way and to be specialized in what it does. And the reason of existence of an organization is represented in goals and objectives. The goals and objectives which drive the organization toward its vision and mission. At Al Gharbia Hospitals (SEHA) we are providing health care services. The service provided by Al Gharbia Hospitals includes the following departments:
· Emergency & Trauma Center
· Internal Medicine
· EN & T
· Obstetric &
· Orthopedics
· Surgery
· Pediatric
· Radiology
· Dermatology
Al Gharbia Area cover around 60% of the emirates of Abu Dhabi (capital of UAE) and Al Gharbia contributes to 45% of the GDP. It is very important to mention that Al Gharbia Hospitals cover all Al Gharbia Area and responsible for 6 hospitals and 3 clinics. The continues development and expansion in Al Gharbia Hospitals is obvious by keep opening new services continuously where there is a need. We made our services available anywhere for example; we have a mobile clinic which participates in all events and festivals which come to happen in Al Gharbia area. The Costumers of Al Gharbia Hospitals are the people living in Al Gharbia region who come to our hospitals due to the need of health care treatment. Moreover, since us at al Gharbia region is socially involved within our community, we have provided the services of homecare to help elder people to be treated at their homes. This services is provided at the convenient location for the elder people for example; the medical team visit the mentioned patient at their homes to make it easy for them.
2) The purpose & goals of Al Gharbia Hospitals can be addressed by its vision and mission.
· Vision: Al Gharbia Hospitals to be the leading and preferred provider for comprehensive health care services for the community.
· Mission: To provide primary, secondary, and selective tertiary, high quality, safe medical care services in an accessible and affordable way by qualified staff and through an efficient referral system.
· The patient expectation is very high and we have put our 5 years plan as HR to entertain those expectations such as opening more clinics, getting the JCIA accreditation to make them confident coming to our hospitals, and we taking every request seriously and see the feasibility of doing it. With regards to our staff, we give our staff the job security by keep moving them through the career ladder. Also, we communicate the goals, objectives, vision, and mission to the staff so that the feel a part of any success reached by Al Gharbia Hospitals.

Politics |
The conflict situation within middle east countries made it very hard to attract candidates from those conflicted countries and the UAE government approval becomes very hard which resulted in making the recruitment to be delayed. |

Economics

The pay scale and benefits could be an issue within SEHA. It is very hard to attract qualify candidates specially UAE national because the competitive market for example; Oil and Gas industry is paying higher than SEHA and they have good benefits such as education assistant, car loan with 0% interest, and the career ladder is much clearer in ADNOC. |

Sociological |
As the Al Gharbia region is being developed, some of the needed facilities are not available which keep us in challenging in keeping our qualified staff. Also, the expectation of society is very high in the remote area and we most of staff refuse to go to those remote areas which resulted in higher complains. |

Technological |
Since we are a healthcare sector, SEHA has implemented one of the best systems in the world (Cerner & Oracle). However, Cerner is being used by medical staff and Oracle by all, the integration between these systems is still undeveloped. In addition, the waiting time goes up when Cerner implemented because of untrained people using it. |

Legal |
SEHA has implemented new pay scale and grades. This exercise raised the law suits and complains. We need to be always aligned with our policies and the Labor Law of UAE in order to overcome such complications. |

Environment |
In terms of the environmental aspect, SEHA is doing a great job where it has well-defined criteria for disposing the medical used materials and the expired medicines. In addition, SEHA participating in many events which are related to environmental issues. |

Ethical |
Unfortunately, the perception the society has toward SEHA is not that good. However, SEHA started the program of Masool Initiatives where every quarter of the year, there is a meeting between AGH leaders and society to know more about their needs and we are moving ahead and in my opinion, this is the best thing SEHA does. |
