I always consider my region as my motherland as I have been living in this area since my childhood. It is a small town on the North of the Arkansas; possessing green valleys as well as other attractive lakes and a part of the river Arkansas. However; during the past few years; a large number of the people have been moved to this town owing to better facilities present there in contrast to the amenities provided to the inhabitants of the adjacent areas. Recently, it has become home to three ecologically toxic corporations that release chemicals that have been related to high occurrences of asthma, cancer as well as the other related respiratory illnesses.
The one of the corporations, FCG Polymers, reprocesses the compounds as well as the plastics. The other corporation, MS Drum, yields and distributes plastic and steel drums, specialty vessels as well as the transitional bulk vessels. Further, when FCG Polymers constructed its factory in the region, it took about 25 acres of the space of green land—the land that the people had been expecting would be used for their festivals and other related events. MS Drum dumps venoms into septic tank pipes that move into the city’s lakes and rivers (Gallucci) In addition, the poisons that don’t get derelict into the septic tank get charred and ultimately discharge other dangerous pollutants into the air.
Moreover, it has been deliberated that the poisonous releases are slipping into the supplies of groundwater. Also, the heavy usage of nitrogen fertilizer has polluted the supplies of groundwater, caused acidification as well as the greenhouse releases. In addition, the farmers in the region are being pressurized to alter their agribusiness practices as well as lessen their reliance on fertilizers of synthetic nitrogen and make use of substitutes including the crop residues and manures. (Hanemann)
The main economic influence of air pollution on the health of the individuals is the increasing occurrence of respiratory and other chronic diseases among them, subsequent in a loss or the reduction of human capital. In addition, the Environmental contaminants have adversely influenced the inhabitants of the village. The some of the most vital damaging influences are malignancies, infant mortality, cardiovascular disorders, perinatal disorders, allergy, upsurge in pressure oxidative, mental disorders, endothelial dysfunction, and numerous other injurious effects.
The emission of the industrial wastes into the river of Arkansas as well as the other lakes has made aquatic existence quiet difficult. Furthermore, the nitrogen toxins that are being released from the plants of the factories significantly quicken eutrophication by up surging the frequency at which nutrients come into the marine ecosystems. Though eutrophication is a natural procedure being occurring in the lakes, the human actions have accelerated its rate. (ADEQ) The Air releases of nitrogen oxides from the plants of the toxic factories, as well as the other sources have contributed to the quantity of nitrogen inflowing the ecosystems of marine life.
Moreover, the Toxic contaminants present in the air owing to the wastes being omitted by the factories, have impacted the wildlife to a greater extent. Similar to humans, the animals experience health glitches when they are open to adequate meditations of air pollutants over spell. These poisons are playing their part to reproductive failure, birth defects and ailment in animals. In addition, the persistent poisonous air contaminants are of specific apprehension in the marine ecosystems. Moreover, it has also smashed trees and crops in an assortment of methods. The ground-level ozone has led to reduction in commercial forest produces, agricultural crop, abridged survivability and growth of tree seedlings, and augmented plant vulnerability to pests, diseases and other ecological strains.
The augmented pressure on the human as well as the marine life is only a trivial share of a greater matter that is occurring all over the realm. The negative impacts of the environmental problems can lead the human life to be trapped in the series of the glitches that ultimately influence the upcoming generations in a harmful way. It is therefore imperative for the mankind to keep their ecology as well as the atmosphere healthy and free of toxins in order to have a vigorous and prosperous living.
