There are 5 equal charges. 4 of those charges are placed at each corner of a square & 1 is placed in the middle.

The force on the charge in the middle will be less than the force on the
charge at each corner. Each of the corner charges will have a net force directed away from the center of the square. Since the charge on the middle charge is 0, it will be less than the force on the corner charges.
