In the headline Mayor Faces New Allegations in Latest Investigation bias exists. This bias may be as a result of the mayor political affiliation and the fact that he was going for a re-election. The investigators report on the apartment’s condition has all been pointed to the mayor. The contributions of the apartment residents towards the rising of the apartment present condition are not addressed. The fact that water is still throughout the night and can therefore deposit many types of sediment is not put into account. The report that the buildings where they live were poisoning their children was not ethical at all.

Without bias this message could be: Ladies and gentlemen, it is apparent that the mayor apartments in which most of us live are faced by serious problems that have not been solved over the years. The home conditions, the water that we drink as well as rising rent are some of the problems that we face. The mayor through a mobile phone call stated that most of the houses were in good condition before you settled there and so you should repair them and keeps the conditions serene. He also noted that clean water runs throughout the day and therefore you should consider buying storage cans for storing water to use in the morning when the water is dirty. However we made him know that the conditions were not the best and that the situation posed a threat to the children. Nevertheless, we proposed to him that if there were no significant repairs going on, the rent should not go up. This will allow you to use the money in repairs. He asked you all to support him in the coming elections.

To increase credibility of this story I could first of all sought the mayor’s response towards several allegations that have been made. I would rather consider the contributions of the residents toward the growth of the situation would also be discussed. To adapt this message to the professors I could use imagery portraying the initial conditions of the apartment’s and their present ones. Videos showing the condition of the water in the morning and during the day could also be shown. To the new audience I used “barazas” which reached every resident of the apartments.
