EUOLOGY

The passing of my dear and best friend on the 16th of February at midday on a bright Monday took our hamlet by storm. My friend, a tall saturnine teenage was a darling to all who knew him. He was the fast child of Jim and Susan, he had three sisters and two brothers, my father was his godfather

My friend though young was larger than life, he was simply awesome, it was like he was a magnet, and people were simply drawn to him irrespective of their ages, the young, the teens and the old. He was gifted in many ways but the paramount one was that he was a great orator and arbitrator at such a tender age.

Many young people consulted him when e.g. teenage feuds cropped up and he would arrive at a decision that would be accepted by both parties without question.

As fate would have it, him being my favourite friend I was also his, he told me so, one quite evening as we were sitted outside our home sipping some hot tea.

A few years back we were at a mall just he two of us and I asked him what I would like to have as a gift from me as I removed my wallet, he looked up at me and answered “your gift for being a humble person and knowledgeable “The huge grin on my face disappeared and I stared at him in a sombre faced and said “Comrade you’ve honoured me, one day you will be a great man and people will listen to you”

Though this did come to pass for his life was snatched from us at a tender age. His death was shocking as much as a mystery, he got into a car accident while his sister was driving him to the mall, three days later he passed on quietly in the hospital bed at the tender age of seventeen, leaving behind three sisters and two brothers and both parents.

“Rest in peace dear friend you fought a great battle here on earth and forever we will be indebted to you.
