Obviously, the focus of the week will be on the various stages of reach as I want to see each of you independently demonstrate knowledge of the principles of argument and correctly integrate sources in your final essay. As you were introduced to the Toulmin Model argument last week, I encourage you to make sure your essay incorporates this model. An effective argumentative essay is not one that only presents an argument and gives sources to support his or her thesis but also gives the other side to the argument and then refutes it with additional sources. I hope these lessons this week will give you a better understanding of this practice. FINALLY, BE AWARE OF THE FIVE EXTERNAL SOURCES MINIMUM! I ask you to refer back to the email I sent you this week regarding how to obtain credible sources from Liberty's online library datatbase of scholarly journals.

For this assignment, you must write a Toulmin Model argument using outside research and include at least 5 external sources (including relevant readings in your textbook and any other sources you might find). You may use a combination of quotes, summaries, and paraphrases, as you see fit. Your Works Cited page should list all sources you use, including any images. Some website resources are listed below for your use; however, they are just a start. You should plan to conduct your own research as well.

For this assignment you are asked to draft a 1000-1250 word (3-4 page) Toulmin Model argument in response to ONE of the following prompts:

1. What specific action(s) should Christians take regarding the environment and its preservation or restoration?

this week gives you the option to turn in a rough draft or outline and thesis....this will not be graded, but I will give you feedback. I hope that each of you will take advantage of this(at the very least turn in your thesis statement)...be sure to ask if you have any questions or concerns.
