You will begin by selecting the theory from Ch. 4-9 that you would like to use as the foundation for your lesson. To do so, edit this Wiki and place your name beside theory along with a very brief description of your lesson's focus (such as how to enter a cheat code into a certain video game)... I'd like to see a lot of variety in the lessons. After all, we really don't want to spend our evening learning how to tie our shoes for an hour. :)
Then you will begin crafting your lesson. What that looks like is really dependent on your lesson's focus and the learning theory involved. But everything you do, from the attention grabber to the conclusion should reflect sound instructional design based on your selected theory. You do NOT need to include a formal assessment in your 2-4 minute presentation, but you DO need to either provide formative assessment or practice for the new skills.
After the conclusion of your 8-10 minute presentation, you will need to offer a 3-4 minute explanation justifying your design choices based on your learning theory, so be prepared!
