Training Manual on International Environmental Law
It has a good summery for each one of the treaties and provision. It is very good to use because it has very clear description of the law. You can look to the actual treaty and on the beginning of each treaty there are the principles and objective of the treaties. This is the section that will have the policy and the guidance.
There are 2 aspects of each treaty that relevant to lslam :
1/ the principles that nations agree in the treaty
2/how do they implement the treaty, how do they use the treaty to protect the environment “ God creation”
some treaties have very good principles but not have good implementation.
Beginning of 1972 nations began to adhere to these treaty. In 1969 the nation and the UN agreed on the form for the treaties. ( how do you prepare the treaty and what the mouthed for treaty. Than all the treaties came.
How do we implement the treaty?
In order to implement the treaty, every country must adapt national legislation. So the question is when we agree to these treaty
1/ What is the national legislation ?
2/ what we doing to enforce our national legislation ?
So these are 3 stages.
And in each case, we can make the argument that they have religious obligations. First, agree to protect the environment in cooperate way and then implement it to national legislation. That could be done of course either declare order by the king or through some legislator. Then the question must be how they enforce it and apply it? What methods they use? how do they educate the public ? You can not know what must do if you are not educated.
One of the fundamental principle of the environmental protection is giving the people the information about the environment where they entitled to.
In some cases people see the damage to the environment but in other cases are poison is invisible. The citizen doesn’t have the laboratory . so we must rely on our government to protect us from pollution that harm to our health.

In the last pert of each chapter of the book we will find examples of national laws. So we can see the different ways of countries implementing.
We can use these examples.
Ask which of these laws in the KSA.
Next step is how do we enforce the law? Implement it.
Each one of these stages must connect to each other.
Since the environment is not stopping in each country, each country must have similar law or other country will harm you because they have a weak law.
