This post is great because if outlines the key quality of a successful salesperson. Considering that the company is deals with logistics, it is right to include additional characteristics such as experience and knowledge of logistics. Fluency in two languages that can help the salesperson communicate better with potential clients is another vital characteristics that contributes to the success of the salesperson. Another reason that makes this post great is that it does not list education as a requirement. An individual have limited education and be a great salesperson, while another can be highly educated but a poor sales person. Although there are other qualities that a salesperson must possess that are listed in marketing literature, the student gave the most important ones that can determine the success of a sales person. Empathy, resilience and persuasiveness are vital for success in sales. Other characteristics such as charisma, discipline to do follow ups, intelligence and people skills are not as significant compared to the three traits given by the student. The student offers credibility to his post by referring to an article in CBS Money that outlined the three traits that a sales representative must have and cites the sources.

This post presents the challengers that recruiters face in hiring employees because they must adhere to laws that prohibit any form of discrimination and at the same time recruit individuals who suit the target market. Navigating these legal requirements is challenging for a recruiter who must take care of his/her interests and ensure that the law is followed. The students presents an effective strategy of selecting the right person for a sales position while adhering to the laws that prohibit discrimination. By making a list of non-negotiable skills required in order to succeed in the position, the right candidate will be selected without discriminating anyone. Incorporating skills such as public speaking skills, enjoying speaking with prospects, confidence when talking to clients and looking forward to meeting new prospects will ensure that a sales person who suits the target market of young and educated adults is selected.
