XACML/ABAC policies
Attribute based access control models such as XACML are the most recent models to implement access controls.
Lab goal: Be familiar with most recent policy architecture and how to use/create/implement/test security or service policies.
As one implementation of XACML, download the free lite version of the policy editor tool at: https://securitypolicytool.com/ . The tool has three demo policy packages at ( https://securitypolicytool.com/milestone ) for health care, banks, and University. The attached demo is extracted after installing the tool and opening the University example from https://securitypolicytool.com/milestone. It shows you the different components of policies and how they can be created and tested.
Based on the 3 sample policy sets that come with the tool, create 5 different policies based on any domain or business you select.
Then submit the 5 policies in addition to a simple report similar to the demo to show details about your created policies.
