Written Assignment Film Critique

This semester, you will analyze the film American Psycho that focuses on the causation of crime/ criminological theories. You should (a) consider which crime theories best explain the deviance and criminal activities as depicted in the film, (b) determine how the criminal justice system and community could have intervened to prevent the crime(s) and (c) assess how realistic the crime was in the film. Please note: There may be various crimes depicted in the film, you only need to focus on one major crime.

Your 3-4-page critique must summarize key points of the movie using the rational and strain theory.
