Objective

Design of a video motion detector for video surveillance system.

Background

Video motion detection technology enhances the surveillance system significantly by automatic detecting and recognizing unwanted activity or intrusion. It assists the security force to promptly and efficiently identify an intruder in the secure premise and respond to the situation rapidly.

Procedure

1. Consider that you are designing the video surveillance system for a College with multiple buildings spread over an area including parking lots, gardens and other facilities.

2. Design video motion detection system to monitor the campus both outdoor and indoor.

3. Determine the type and feature of video motion detector that you want to implement.

4. Describe the alarming and response system that you will incorporate in your design.
