Please be aware:  This is NOT a paper primarily about the death penalty, but rather about wrongful convictions, racial minorities and how they will be affected by recent measures to reduce the chance of wrongful conviction.  Please do not write a “death penalty” specific paper (but include the death penalty where it is appropriate in this context). Please answer the questions below:

One argument against the death penalty is the fear that an innocent person may be executed.  In recent years, what measures have been taken to reduce the chances of a wrongful conviction?  Also, please comment on the demographics of those defendants that were exonerated, and how the measures you cite will effect racial minorities.
