Write a reply for the post below with a minimum of 200 words

In case anyone was wondering the “how do you fit the design” for chapter 6 is on page 221 in the text. Anyways, my score was only 5 which puts me in the category of emotional CQ which apparently pertains to the heart.  I feel like it would be a higher score if I was exposed more to other cultures.  I have been living in small towns for 23 years and have not had too much experience with other cultures besides foreign exchange students or when I have traveled to Amsterdam, Rome, and Jamaica.  I have found all of these cultures very interesting though and feel like I have learned a lot from each.  For example, in Rome I learned that it is more offensive when driving to give other drivers the “crazy” sign instead of flipping them off.  

The two areas I would like to focus on to increase my score are understanding the geography, history, and major cultural leaders in other countries.  I think this would give me a better cultural understanding the next time I travel to a certain country.  I have been to Jamaica 5 or 6 times in my life and only have a small understanding of their history and have no idea who their cultural leaders are at all.  I think if I enhanced these areas I could enhance my travel there.  

The second area I would like to focus on would be regularly associating with people from different cultural backgrounds from me.  I believe now that I am living in a city surrounded by all different kinds of people and cultures this will be a lot easier to accomplish.  I think when I can accomplish this I can better associate and understand other cultures and this will help me personally and in advancing my career as well.
