 With June as LGBTQ+ Pride month, we see a changing view of sexuality in our society today. Over the centuries, Sappho's sexuality has been perceived by critics and various cultures through a wide variety of lenses, ranging a spectrum from heterosexual to bisexual to homosexual. Recently, many celebrities, such as Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, have self-identified as pansexual or in other ways questioned traditional societal norms of gender identity and sexual orientation.
